Our Journey Into Ceramics

My name is Anna, and I am the creator behind Duca Ceramics.  It is my deepest desire to bring beauty and joy into every day rituals, your home, and your life! 

I live in one of the most beautiful natural regions in Australia, The Otways. I am constantly in awe and inspired by my surroundings, and feel a strong connection to the land here. I create each piece mindfully, with intention; and hope you can feel this when you cradle these vessels in your hands.

My journey into ceramics (and Art), has been an on-and-off love affair throughout my life.

My first experimentation with clay was during high school, which I thoroughly enjoyed and excelled at, and my learnings have been mostly self-guided since then.

I have recently taken a big dive into ceramics as my main profession, under the encouragement of my family, friends and the immense popularity of products.  This has been quite a career change, as I have stepped away from a successful career as a sports therapist (massage) for horses. It is interesting that both careers rely heavily on the intuition and feel of the hands!
